Version 2026-04-19 · Effective April 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of the SOS Platform (vrc.club). Please read them carefully. By using SOS you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
SOS is a community management platform designed for VRChat communities. It provides tools for managing events, members, media, supporter tiers, and integrations with third-party services including Discord, VRChat, Stripe, Patreon, Printful, and others. It is built and operated by the team behind Sanctum ("we", "us", "our").
SOS is a software platform, not a service provider for the underlying third parties. When you connect VRChat, Discord, Stripe, Patreon, Printful, or any other external account, you are dealing with that third party directly. We only pass data between systems on your behalf.
By creating an account on vrc.club or using the SOS Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. You must explicitly accept these terms during registration before your account is created. Continued use after we post a new version constitutes acceptance, except where we require re-acceptance.
If you accept these terms on behalf of a community, organization, or business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity, and "you" refers to both you personally and that entity.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the SOS Platform, consistent with the VRChat communities this platform serves. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.
You are responsible for your account and everything that happens under it. Keep your Discord login credentials secure. If you believe someone else has accessed your account, notify us immediately at privacy@vrc.club.
You may store credentials for third-party services (such as VRChat, Printful, Mailchimp, or streaming services) with SOS. You acknowledge that:
When using the platform, you agree not to:
Community owners are responsible for moderating their own communities. We provide the tools — how communities use them is up to their leadership. However, we reserve the right to investigate and remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
When you upload photos, recordings, or other content to SOS, you retain ownership of that content. By uploading it, you grant the community you upload to and SOS a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the platform as part of the features you are using (galleries, performance archives, supporter rewards, newsletters, etc.). This license ends when you or a community manager removes the content, except that we may retain copies in backups for a reasonable period.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload, and that your content does not infringe any third party's rights (including copyrights, trademarks, privacy, or publicity rights). You are solely responsible for your content.
You can delete your content at any time. If you leave a community, your uploaded content may remain visible unless you or a community manager removes it.
Some communities offer supporter tiers, merchandise, or other paid offerings through Stripe, Patreon, VRChat's Creator Economy, Printful, or other third-party payment and fulfillment services. These are transactions between you and the community (and the relevant third-party service) — SOS facilitates the connection but does not process payments directly and takes no fees from these transactions.
Refund policies, chargebacks, fulfillment disputes, tax handling, and product quality are governed by the community and the payment or fulfillment platform they use. Disputes about payments, shipments, or physical goods should be directed to the community owner or the relevant third-party platform, not to SOS.
We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or reliability of any third-party payment or fulfillment service. If Stripe, Patreon, Printful, or any other integrated service suspends, limits, or changes its terms, our platform may be affected and we have no liability for those third-party actions.
If you operate a community on SOS, you are responsible for:
You agree to indemnify SOS for any claims arising from your community operations — see the Indemnification section below.
THE SOS PLATFORM AND ALL RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, reliability, uninterrupted service, error-free operation, and freedom from viruses or other harmful components.
We do not guarantee that the platform will meet your requirements, be available at any particular time or location, be uninterrupted or secure, or that defects will be corrected. Features may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
If we ever need to shut down the platform entirely, we will make reasonable efforts to give users time to export their data, but we make no contractual guarantee of any particular notice period.
The SOS Platform integrates with third-party services including but not limited to VRChat, Discord, Stripe, Patreon, Printful, Mailchimp, OBS, Restream, AirGPU, Twitter/X, and Anthropic. These services are operated by their respective providers, not by us.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THIRD-PARTY SERVICES IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Specifically, you acknowledge that:
We make reasonable, industry-standard efforts to secure the platform, including encrypting stored credentials at rest, using encrypted transport (TLS) for data in transit, and keeping our dependencies up to date. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not warrant that the platform will be free from security incidents or unauthorized access.
BY USING THE PLATFORM AND CONNECTING THIRD-PARTY CREDENTIALS, YOU EXPRESSLY ASSUME THE RISK OF CREDENTIAL COMPROMISE, DATA BREACH, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS.
You agree that you will not provide credentials to the platform that you are not authorized to share, and that you will promptly disconnect any integration if you suspect compromise. You remain responsible for the security of any account whose credentials you provide, and for any actions taken using those credentials.
The platform may experience outages, data loss, delays, or other disruptions. While we take backups and engineer for reliability, we do not guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted, delayed, or inaccessible. You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of any data that is important to you. You can export your data at any time from your account settings.
We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. By creating an account, you consent to this processing. You can download a copy of all your data or delete your account at any time from your Settings page.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account Settings. When you delete your account:
We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are used for harmful purposes, or create legal or security risk to us or to other users. If your account is terminated by us for a non-severe violation, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to export your data before deletion. In cases of severe abuse, illegal activity, or ongoing harm, we may terminate without notice.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SOS, its operators, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SOS, ITS OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM, FROM ALL CAUSES OF ACTION AND UNDER ALL THEORIES OF LIABILITY, WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law (such as liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or certain statutory rights under consumer-protection or data-protection law).
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these terms or the platform shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting privacy@vrc.club. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, it shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, and judgment on the arbitral award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. The arbitration shall be conducted in English, and the seat of arbitration shall be Delaware, United States, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
YOU AND SOS AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.
If the class-action waiver or binding arbitration provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions of this section remain in effect, and any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, United States, to whose exclusive jurisdiction you consent. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the platform and may require you to re-accept the updated terms. The version date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, except where re-acceptance is required.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us concerning the platform. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them at any time.
